There are no public rubbish or recycling bins on Kawau Island.
There is a secure enclosure near Sandspit wharf where residents and property owners can dispose of their rubbish and recycling.
The enclosure has a pin-code entry gate. This code is shared with:
- residents
- ratepayers
- Kawau Island Residents and Ratepayers’ Association (KIRRA).
Take any excess rubbish, recycling and larger items to Warkworth (Lawrie Road) Community Recycling Centre.
