This path takes you from the residential edge of Flat Bush to reach a spectacular lookout point.
The walk to the lookout point is mostly uphill and will get you puffing. It's a bit of a challenge, but well worth the effort once you're at the top. The steepest sections are up the driveway to the Watercare Reservoir. The track offers an easier gradient option as you approach the lookout point at the Trig Station.
If you want to bring along little ones, you can do the walk with a sturdy pushchair.
Once you've reached the top, you'll be rewarded with spectacular views over eastern Auckland and Rangitoto Island. On a clear day, you can see out to the Waitakere Ranges.
Good news when you've finished admiring the view - the walk back to the start is all downhill!
