Several teams across the council are responsible for our research and evaluation programmes.

Our programmes
The teams from the Engineering, Assets and Technical Advisory Department and the Policy Department manage our research, monitoring, evaluation and reporting programmes.
These programmes produce evidence-based information that we use to develop, implement and evaluate policies, as Auckland grows.

The Environmental Evaluation and Monitoring Unit teams monitor and report on:
- the state of Auckland's environment
- emerging environmental trends.
This information contributes to New Zealand's national environmental monitoring programme.
