Artist: Eric Orr, 1996
Location: Viaduct Harbour
Materials: cast iron, fire, water and granite
Unpredictable and powerful in its appearance, Eric Orr's Fire Window was the first sculpture to be installed at the Viaduct Harbour.
The sculpture echoes the long, block-like forms of the buildings around it, emphasising and echoing its urban architectural surroundings. The work, particularly spectacular after dark, is intended as a metaphor for the potency and endurance of nature.
