What you will see on the original shoreline walk
This heritage walk covers the 5km route between Point Erin and Parnell Baths.
You'll encounter 25 sites and information panels showcasing past and present Auckland - from 1840 colonial port to modern city.
The walk meanders through parks and reserves, past residential homes, and alongside busy wharves. Car and bicycle parking is available at both ends of the route.
This walk is a Waitematā Local Board initiative.
Depending on your ability, the walk takes around three hours.
