Engineering approval - minor

If there is no way to provide digital copies of your plans or documents, visit one of our libraries with council services. Our staff will accept your documents, but it may incur an additional charge to cover the costs involved with us scanning your documents into our digital consent system.

Call us on 09 301 0101 if you have questions regarding your application.

If you get stuck, consult the online application guide PDF, located towards the end of the When you need an engineering approval page.

Our tip

At the end of the process, you may need to pay the maintenance bond.

What happens next

We will let you know the decision by email.

  2. Construction and inspection
  3. As-built documentation review and completion, and transferring ownership of an asset (like infrastructure).
