Some industries have operations that discharge contaminants, odours and pollutants into the air:

  • chemical processing

  • food and animal or plant processing
  • intensive livestock farming
  • metallurgical processes
  • waste processing
  • fibreglassing or spray painting
  • coffee roasting.

Get a consent for activities that impact air quality

If your industrial, business or farm operations will have a negative impact on air quality, you may need a regional resource consent.

If you are not sure if your operations need this type of consent, phone us on 09 301 0101 or email the Air quality team.
