A short, family-friendly bushwalk through Three Streams Reserve in Lucas Heights near Albany.
Start from Twin Court, or from the Three Streams Reserve car park off Dairy Flat Highway (public toilets are located by the car park). Access gates close at 6pm.
Follow the signposted loop walk through the re-establishing native bush with kauri and specimen trees. The path is a great beginner walk - mainly gravel with a few steps.
The Children's Discovery Walk is designed especially for school-aged children, with informative labels on some native trees.
The picnic area by the Dairy Flat Highway entrance is a lovely spot to rest, but take your rubbish home with you.
Three Streams was developed as a privately-owned Arboretum by original landowner John Hogan, who gifted the land in 1990. The name of the 3.7ha reserve comes from the three streams that flow through it and into Lucas Creek.
