About the path
This scenic bush track takes you from Exhibition Drive to the Arataki Visitor Centre, the gateway to the Waitākere Ranges Regional Park.
From the track start, follow the Beveridge Track markers.
The gravel track runs through beautiful native bush. It's mostly a gentle gradient, with a few steep sections where cyclists may need to dismount.
It's a shared track – so remember to look out for walkers if you're riding.
You'll pass the Monkey Drive Tunnel, which was built in 1901 to house a pipe that carried water from Upper Nihotupu Dam to a pump station in Western Springs.
There are great views of the Manukau Harbour and Lower Nihotupu Dam.
Don't miss the exhibitions and nature activities at the Arataki Visitor Centre. The pou (post) stands as a guardian to Arataki, and inside you will find whakairo (carvings).
Relax on the back decks of the visitor centre and take in the incredible views.

When combined, the Exhibition Track and Beveridge to Arataki Track offer a safe walking and family cycling route from Titirangi to the Arataki Visitor Centre.
