A great walk above the Tamaki River, with stunning views out to Rangitoto Island.
Start at the Half Moon Bay Marina (a scenic 40-minute ferry ride from Auckland Ferry Terminal). Check the ferry timetable on the Auckland Transport website. If you have little ones with you, they will love looking at the boats in the marina.
Walk up the set of stairs across Ara-Tai Road to reach the elevated cliff. Follow the path along the cliff top - the views of the Tamaki River and Rangitoto Island are spectacular!
Continue along Falstaff Place and Eclipse Place. The path joins up a range of parks through residential streets and access ways.
Finish the path at the start of the Pakuranga Rotary Walkway in Wakaaranga Creek Reserve.
There has been a lot of recent community activity to restore the ecosystems in this park, so it is well worth a visit.
