About the path
Calling all city dwellers and office workers! Get active and escape the hustle and bustle of the city, by taking a short lunchtime walk or run around Victoria Park.
An iconic green space on the west edge of Auckland's city centre, Victoria Park is a popular location for cricket games, Sky Tower views, people watching or just relaxing in the shade of the huge London plane trees.
Start at the corner of Victoria Street West and Hasley Street, or anywhere along the park. Follow the flat walking path around the perimeter of the park.
You'll pass two public artworks as you walk, 'Colours of Our History' (Miriam Van Wezel) and 'Homage to Will' (Fred Loopstra).
If you have children with you, check out the kids playground. At the western edge of the park, there's also a basketball court and popular skate park - more options for a sporty lunch break.
Public toilets are available at various locations in the park.
