About the path
Nestled in the heart of Birkenhead, this scenic walking track offers a gentle, pram-friendly route through lush greenery. It is perfect for families with young children or dog owners (just be sure to keep your dogs on a lead). The relatively flat pathway makes for a leisurely stroll, with plenty to enjoy along the way as you explore Birkenhead War Memorial Park.
Around halfway through the walk, you will come across a BMX pump track, an exciting spot for children to enjoy a quick play or take a break from the walk. If you veer off the loop past the pump track, you will soon reach Birkenhead Pool and Leisure Centre, a well-equipped skate park, and a vibrant playground. To go back to the loop, just head back to the pump track.
The suggested starting point is at Recreation Drive, next to the Birkenhead Playcentre, though alternative entry points can be found at Mahara Avenue and John Court Street.
