Ambury

Ambury Regional Park - Ambury Mountain Biking (2.5km).

Arch Hill Scenic Reserve

The Arch Hill Scenic Reserve biking tracks are well-maintained and in total measure roughly 3km in riding distance.

There are six tracks:

Ātiu Creek

Try these Ātiu Creek Regional Park biking tracks:

  • Ātiu Down Hill (mountain biking - 1km)
  • Clearfell Track (biking - 1.8km)
  • Kauri Point Track (biking - 3.7km)
  • Oruawharo River Trail (biking - 7.8km)
  • Pump Track (mountain biking - 500m)
  • Reservoir Walk (biking - 5km)
  • Ti Tree Point Trail (biking - 1km).

​Āwhitu

Āwhitu Regional Park - Settlers Farm Track (3km).

Duder

Duder Regional Park - Farm Loop (4km).

Hamlins Hill Mutukaroa

Hamlins Hill - Mutukaroa Regional Park

Mountain biking is only allowed on designated tracks.

Hunua Ranges

Try these Hunua Ranges Regional Park biking tracks:

  • Mangatawhiri Challenge Track (15km)
  • Moumoukai Farm Track (15km)
  • River Track (2.6km)
  • Upper Moumoukai Mountain Bike Skills (MTB) Area (practice zone)
  • Valley Loop Track (14km).

​Long Bay

Try these Long Bay Regional Park biking tracks:

  • 100 Acre Track (1.6km)
  • Coastal Track (6km).

Shakespear

Enjoy easy family mountain biking along farm tracks at Shakespear Regional Park. You will find more challenging grass and dirt riding on the hills of the east and south coast.

Mountain biking is prohibited along bushwalking tracks, such as sections of the Heritage Trail. All other tracks are multi-use mountain bike/walking tracks. Most of tracks have mountain bike ramps at the gates so you don't have to stop.

  • Tiri Tiri Track (4.8km)
  • Lookout Track (2.5km)
  • Ōkoroma Track (2km).

Tāpapakanga

Tāpapakanga Regional Park - Mountain Bike Track (7km).

Tāwharanui

Enjoy easy biking along metal farm tracks at Tāwharanui Regional Park. You'll find more challenging grass and dirt riding on the hills of the South Coast and West End Tracks. Great views from all vantage areas.

The two-way farm tracks are also used by walkers, park vehicles and farm animals so please keep to the left on these tracks and be aware of other track users. Mountain biking is prohibited along bush-walking tracks but is allowed on bush vehicle tracks.

  • North-South Coast Tracks (9km)
  • West End Track (61m).

Tōtara Park

The mountain bike tracks are located in the north-eastern section of Tōtara Park and suit a range of skill levels.

There are 18 tracks:

  • Gutsa (advanced)
  • Kids' Loop (easy)
  • Scrubber (easy)
  • Anaconda (easy)
  • Challenger (intermediate)

​Waharau

Try these Waharau Regional Park biking tracks:

  • Upper Link Track Loop (4km)
  • Waharau Ridge Loop (14km)
  • Whakatawhi Ridge Route (18km).

Waiheke Island

Try these Waiheke Island biking tracks located at the Onetangi Sports Park:

Waitawa

The Waitawa Regional Park mountain bike tracks have been designed with families in mind, offering a good range of skill level. Some are shared with walkers, horse riders and other park users, so show respect to other track users. There are also many cultural and heritage sites in this park, so keep to marked tracks.

  • Kererū Loop (4km)
  • Kōtare Loop (6km)
  • Piwakawaka Loop (8km)
  • Puweto Loop (10km).

​Whakanewha

Mountain biking is allowed on some tracks within Whakanewha Regional Park.

A 5km loop track can be made be using portions of the Tarata Track, Central Track, Rua Loop (small section only), Dotties Lane and Cathedral Track. Bikers will share these tracks with walkers, so be careful and read the park's signs.
