How we measure progress for the communities and coast priority
The main indicators of progress are called headline indicators. These provide information and insights about the areas where we have a strong focus and where we are taking action.
Headline indicators
The main (headline) indicators of progress for the communities and coast environment priority are:
- the number of Aucklanders engaged in low carbon lifestyle
- the percentage of schools engaged in sustainability programmes.
Other indicators
- The number of completed Shoreline Adaptation Plans.
- The number of completed local board climate action plans.
- The percentage of Aucklanders who are aware and concerned about climate change.
Progress of all headline indicators is reported in the annual progress reports.
Progress of all other indicators is reported every three years.
