The Hibiscus and Bays Local Park Management Plan covers around 270 parks in the local board area.

The plan provides a policy framework that will guide decision-making for these parks over the next 10 years.

It also provides direction on Hibiscus and Bays local park:

  • use
  • protection
  • development.

Consultation history

The first round of public consultation on the Hibiscus and Bays Local Park Management Plan finished on 3 April 2018.

We received 137 comments from individuals and organisations. These came via our online feedback form, by email, and through a range of meetings and discussions with key stakeholders.

Our stakeholders included representatives from sports codes, clubs and community groups.

This plan was adopted by the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board in July 2022.
