About the Rodney Local Park Management Plan
Rodney’s parks network is one of the largest in Auckland.
The Rodney Local Park Management Plan covers around over 330 parks that extends over approximately 1300 hectares of land.
The plan provides a policy framework that will guide decision-making for these parks over the next 10 years.
It also provides direction on Rodney local park:
- use
- protection
- development.
Consultation history
Public consultation on the draft Rodney Local Park Management Plan finished on 15 August 2022.
We received 335 submissions from individuals and organisations. These came via our online feedback form, by email and through a range of meetings and discussions with key stakeholders.
Our stakeholders included representatives from sports codes, clubs and community groups.
This plan was adopted by the Rodney Local Board in July 2023.
