What the project is about

Jubilee Bridge is a 60-metre pedestrian bridge crossing Panmure Basin from Lagoon Drive.

Built in 1984, the bridge is now closed due to safety issues. Repairs and efforts to prolong the life of the bridge are no longer feasible or cost-effective.

A replacement bridge will be funded under our 10-year Budget 2021-2031.

The new three-metre-wide steel arch bridge is already designed and has resource consent.
