Storm Recovery Navigation Service
Last updated: 7 June 2024
Storm Recovery Navigators help you access the information, services and support you need to plan your recovery from severe weather disasters.
About our Navigator service
Our Storm Recovery Navigators are here to connect you to the resources and information you need to navigate your way through the coming months and beyond.
Navigators have helped individuals and communities in recent recoveries across New Zealand, like:
- the Christchurch and Canterbury earthquakes
- the 2017 flooding in Whakatāne
- the 2016 Kaikoura District earthquake
- the 2018 Rotorua District flooding.
Due to the generous support from Ministry of Social Development, we are able to partner with non-government organisations and iwi partner groups. Our Navigators are based in our partner community organisations to support impacted
whānau and families.
