Every two years, we celebrate the efforts of the unsung heroes and organisations that volunteer in our community.
Award categories
Arts
A person or organisation demonstrating commitment, long service and making a difference to the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu arts scene.
Sports
A person or organisation going above and beyond to make their sport, club or team a success on or off the field.
Community service (local heroes)
Individuals making a difference to the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu community.
These are our ‘good sorts’ – the people that are always there giving a helping hand when needed.
Young person making a difference
Under 18-year-olds demonstrating community service or helping their peers.
Culture and heritage
Recognising a person or organisation that demonstrates leadership and commitment to preserving, showcasing, and celebrating our māori heritage and diverse culture.
Seniors
Recognising the outstanding and continuing contributions that senior volunteers make daily throughout the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu community.
