How to bid for a tender

1. Register in SAP Ariba and Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS)

You need to have an SAP Ariba account to take part in the tender process.

You can create an account in SAP Ariba and register online.

SAP Ariba

All our open tenders will be advertised on GETS

If you are interested in our open tendered opportunities, you should also register on GETS and select the type of notifications you want to receive.

You will be invited to participate via SAP Ariba after you register your interest for a specific open tender in GETS.

2. Read and respond to a tender

The tender content in SAP Ariba provides all information about the contract and the required format of the response.

You can also ask questions and seek clarification if necessary in SAP Ariba.

The terms and conditions for a tender are also available.

3. Evaluation and negotiation

We will evaluate responses using the method and criteria set out in the tender document. This may include presentations and site visits, if required.

4. Contract awarded

We will notify successful and unsuccessful participants of the outcome. We will finalise the contract document and it will be signed by both parties.

We may publish contract details in accordance with our policy of openness and transparency.

5. Commencement of contract

Suppliers to the council should only start work after a contract has been fully signed.

We will evaluate performance according to the terms of the contract.
