How to complain about helicopter noise
Auckland Council has some responsibility to manage noise from helicopters, mostly when they are taking off or landing.
Once in the air, the
Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is responsible for noise from helicopters.
Emergency service aircraft
We do not manage noise complaints that relate to emergency service aircraft such as Police and Westpac Rescue helicopters.
You can make a complaint to
NZ Police or the
National Emergency Management Agency about the actions of these aircraft.
More information
Visit the CAA website for more information about aircraft noise.
