About the path
Explore parkland, native bush and coastal views in Greenhithe. The loop path is a combination of local footpaths, quiet roads and bush tracks and offers close-up views of the Upper Waitematā Harbour.
Start your walk in Collins Park, a large green open space in the heart of Greenhithe village, with skate park and playground.
From Collins Park the path heads along the footpath along Shiloh Way, Tauhinu Road and Remu Place. At the end of Remu Place, look out for the sign to Austin Road via a bush track on the right.
There's a optional side track to explore if you want to check out the coastal views.
From Austin Road, turn left onto Marae Road. Look out for the narrow path entry down the steps to Rahui Road, where you'll find a secluded picnic spot and public toilets. Enjoy spectacular views of the Upper Harbour, from Herald Island across to Paremoremo.
Continue on along Rahui Road, then turn left onto Rame Road. Turn right into Almond Grove and walk through Orchard Reserve. Take the left fork in the path to get back onto Greenhithe Road, and return to Collins Park.
