Te Tahua Pūtea Tau 2021-2031 (Te Tahua Pūtea Whakarauora)

The 10-year Budget 2021-2031 (Our Recovery Budget)

The Governing Body approved the 10-year Budget 2021-2031 on 29 June 2021.

June 2023 amendment to the 10-year Budget 2021-2031

We adopted the amendment to the 10-year Budget on 8 June 2023.

This amendment enables the sale of a 7 per cent shareholding in Auckland International Airport Limited (AIAL), the New Zealand Exchange listed company that owns and operates Auckland Airport.

The amendment allows us to use the proceeds from this sale to reduce council debt.

We intend to keep at least a further 10 per cent shareholding in AIAL.
