Community recycling centres
Our aim with community recycling centres is to reduce waste to landfill by reusing, re-purposing and recycling as much as possible.
What are community recycling centres?
Community recycling centres are facilities where you can drop off unwanted items and materials for reuse and recycling.
Most centres have shops on site, which sell usable household and building materials.
What you can drop off at community recycling centres
Each community recycling centre is different in what services they offer and the types of items they accept.
Items the centres might accept include:
- fridges
- furniture
- lawnmowers
- bicycles
- books
- timber
- household bric-a-brac.
Some centres also accept green waste and general rubbish.
Contact your local community recycling centre directly for more information and to find out what they can accept.
