Request or cancel non-residential property rubbish and recycling bin services

Ratepayers, owners or authorised property managers of non-residential properties can:

  • request an Auckland Council rubbish or recycling bin service
  • cancel an existing Auckland Council rubbish or recycling bin service.

You should know

Franklin and Rodney customers can request rubbish bin services now. Rubbish collections will start from 30 June 2025 (Franklin) and 1 September 2025 (Rodney).

For commercial properties in the former Manukau City Council area, call us on 09 301 0101 to request a bin.

Cancel your rubbish or recycling bin service

Make an enquiry online and provide:

  • the property address
  • the property ratepayer’s name and contact details
  • the bin number for the service you will cancel.

We recommend that you cancel your rubbish or recycling bin service in early June. When you pay for these services, you pay until the start of the new rating year (1 July). If you cancel your service before June, we will not refund you for the months you paid for but did not use.
